~La*Chanson*du*Jour>Carla Bruni: Tout le Monde/ Ma Jeunesse*

Francophone musique has made it’s way onto my Ipod, & its my trip to the charismatic Montreal, & the cities rich culture that I have to credit for the inspiration. Ie: My song of the day, édition française…

*I became a fan of Madam Sarkozy after stumbling upon her second album ‘No Promises’ while reading up on William Butler Yeats. Bruni’s 2007′ album was performed in English & contained poems set to music by such literary geniuses as Emily Dickinson, W. H. Auden, Dorothy Parker, & William Butler Yeats (my favourite Irish writer!). Here is the very ‘Jack Johnson-ish’ track ‘Those Dancing Days Are Gone’ which is based on the Yeats poem of the same name~>

Lyrics to love, & live~> Song by Italo-French Songstress (& First Lady of France) Carla Bruni-Sarkozy:

Tout le monde a une sale vie qui passe, mais tout le monde ne s’en souvient pas, j’en vois qui la plient et même qui la cassent, et j’en vois qui ne la voient même pas…..

Oh, & another Bruni track definitely worth a spin…..
